Practical advice, clearer decisions

We help business owners turn accounting and financial information into practical insights, from sound financial practices to evaluating opportunities and managing change.

Why it matters

Beyond the accounts and the tax return

Running a business involves decisions that go beyond preparing accounts and filing tax returns. Understanding your financial position, managing cash flow and planning ahead can make a meaningful difference to your business.

How we help

Our business advisory services

Support for small and medium-sized enterprises in Hong Kong at different stages of their development.

Financial performance and management reporting

Understand what your figures are telling you. We help you analyse revenue, costs, profit margins and trends, identify areas needing attention, and develop management reports that support timely decisions.

Cash flow management and forecasting

Plan for the payments ahead. We prepare cash flow forecasts, review working capital and assess funding needs, so you can see how collections, supplier payments, tax and other commitments affect your available cash.

Budgeting and business planning

Give your plans a sound financial foundation. We prepare budgets, projections and scenario analyses, so you can test changes in sales, costs, staffing or investment before committing resources.

Tax and business decisions

Consider the tax implications before acting. We advise on Hong Kong tax matters arising from your operations and proposed transactions, including obligations, available reliefs and supporting documents.

Cross-border transactions

We advise on the accounting and Hong Kong tax side of dealings with overseas customers, suppliers and related companies, including trading, services, intercompany charges and funding, and coordinate with overseas advisers.

Internal controls and accounting processes

Build procedures that suit the size of your business. We review workflows and controls over receipts, payments and record keeping, and recommend practical improvements that reduce the risk of errors.

Accounting systems and digital working

Make your financial information more useful. We advise on cloud accounting, reporting processes and document workflows that reduce repetitive work and improve the timeliness and quality of your figures.

Structuring and due diligence

Support for group structuring and reorganisations, and for bank, investor and buyer due diligence.

Advice that fits your business

Whether you need help with one issue or periodic financial reviews, we agree the scope of our work with you at the outset.

How we work

Plain language and practical next steps

We take time to understand your circumstances, explain the financial implications in plain language and recommend practical steps. Because we see the audit and tax work of many private companies, our advice is grounded in how Hong Kong businesses actually operate.

  • Scope and fee agreed before work starts
  • Advice from the partner, not passed down a chain
  • Written recommendations you can act on
  • Coordination with your bank, lawyers and overseas advisers where needed

Questions

Common questions about advisory work

Can you advise on a single issue?

Yes. Some clients ask us about one decision, such as a new contract or a change in structure; others prefer periodic reviews of their figures. We agree the scope with you at the outset.

How are advisory fees charged?

We agree the scope and the fee basis before we start, usually a fixed fee for a defined piece of work or an agreed rate for ongoing reviews.

Can you work with our advisers outside Hong Kong?

Yes. We advise on the Hong Kong accounting and tax side and coordinate with your overseas professional advisers where local advice is needed.

Do we need to use Xero for management reporting?

No. We can work with the system you already use, although cloud accounting such as Xero often makes regular reporting quicker and easier to share.

Talk to us about your year-end

Send us your latest audited accounts and group chart. We will reply with a fee quote and a proposed timetable.
